When is the London Marathon 2019?

The 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 28 and it will be the 39th race in the UK capital, part of the World Marathon Majors.

How to enter the 2019 London Marathon ballot

The ballot entry opened on Monday, April 30, 2018 and those wanting to run can only enter once. If you enter your details twice, the system will delete all your entries.
If you get a marathon spot, you have time to train for the London Marathon and Virgin provides training plans for all types of runner. Enter on the official website
If you don’t get a spot, you can run on behalf of a charity after raising a considerable amount of cash, usually around £2,500.
As well as this, if you’ve run a marathon faster than average, you may qualify for a ‘Good For Age’ place. There are 6,000 places reserved for Good Age entries.

How much does it cost to enter the London Marathon?

London Marathon 2019 runners will have to pay a £39 fee to help cover the cost of staging the race and will ensure that you have a goodie bag full of all the essentials, like water and vaseline, at the start of the race.
